First blog ever!

I am a rubbish writer. (As you can tell from my title!) Despite this I hope to use this blog as a platform to share videos and ideas on how to support children’s communication skills as I try them out on my baby girl Lexi.

In 2010 I graduated as a Speech and Language Therapist. Now in 2015 I am writing this entry while my baby girl of 7 months sleeps in my arms and I realise I’ve learnt more practical ideas from spending time with her than I anticipated.

I watch friends and family play with my daughter and some people just naturally get it, some worry about what they are doing and some avoid her at all costs to prevent getting it wrong. This blog will hopefully give people confidence and ideas on what to do to supoort communication development through play and everyday life with their own babies or babies they know.

I will be posting various videos/anecdotes of my daughter and I doing everyday things, things anyone can do and I’ll see where this blog takes me!

Merry Christmas from us both!🎄🎁🎉

    1. Thank you for your comment. Please dont second guess yourself. The fact that you are shows you are doing the right thing! I also second guess myself ALL of the time. I am not a parenting expert and I have been feeling pressure to take my baby to all the different groups singing/sensory ect… While these are fun and a brilliant way to get out of the house and meet other people I want to show that you can (and probably already are) doing lots of really great things at home to help support your baby.
